I walk up to the counter and the attendant smiles and gives me a menu. It’s quite difficult to decide what to order. In fact, I’m going to have to spend a bit of time on this. It’s not every day you get choices like the Hawaii Deluxe (with FOUR burger patties and FOUR juicy pineapple rings and a layer of cheese between each) and the Jane Fonda (it will give your mouth a workout), which is a smile-stretching combination of burger patty, egg, bacon, feta cheese and mozzarella.

Oh, but what’s this? The Almighty Pizza Burger, made with mozzarella, homemade tomato sauce and parmigiana cheese looks set to transport me to Italian food heaven.

I look hungrily at the cheeseburgers where I don’t only see the usual cheddar option. Here at Burger Heaven things are made a little differently: with Swiss, Monterey Jack, Imported Roquefort, Vermont Cheddar, Feta, Mozzarella or Muenster cheese, or your combination of any of the above.

Eventually I decide on the Buffalo Chicken, a breaded chicken cutlet topped with blue cheese crumbles and a delicately spicy cayenne pepper sauce.

There are 55 burgers to choose from at Burger Heaven. Each meal is served with your choice of salad, chips, coleslaw, potato salad, or mashed potato. Optional sauces include chilli, pepper, mushroom, BBQ or a wide selection of cheese sauces. Your burger can be enjoyed crammed between fresh rolls (whole wheat, brown or white) or as a burger sandwich on rye, white, brown, whole wheat, bagel, pita or English muffin.
